The Frontier Center, located in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, was acquired in 2009. The property and development lands are adjacent to a Walmart and a Canadian Tireas well as the city’s Cuplex (mulituse recreation complex), and the Golden Eagle Casino.
With the mall standing at 205,000 square feet, and 7.5 acres of additional development lands between the centre and Walmart, the property offered the potential to re-configure a portion of the centre, thereby permitting additional leasing to national tenants with higher and stable rents.
Under Terracap’s ownership, the centre has undergone upgrades such as roofing replacement and electrical upgrades, and is home to national brands such as Dollarama, Shoppers Drugmart, Tim Hortons, Burger King and Sport-Chek.
With an estimated 13,000 cars driving past the retail centre on a daily basis (on the Trans-Canada Yellowhead highway), the property has become the dominat retail centre in the area.
The Frontier Centre is a 205,000 square foot interior mall and ancillary parcels, anchored by a Nofrills Grocery store, located on a busy highway in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, with 7.5 acres of additional development lands, two of which are now being developed as a 100 room Comfort Suites in partnership with BCP. Notable tenants include Staples, Boston Pizza, Tim Hortons, Burger King, Dollarama and Shoppers Drugmart among others.
Terracap is embarking on a program to ensure that all our properties implement initiatives that adhere to principles of environmental sustainability where practical and these initiatives are representative of ongoing efforts to implement a comprehensive program. Recycling bins for cardboard boxes and cleaning services utilizing environmentally-friendly janitorial products are provided to all tenants.
